By hiring from RNTL STUDIO, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions may be updated or amended at any time without prior notice.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Bookings & Payments

1.1 Full payment is required to secure all hire bookings.

1.2 Promotional codes or discounts must be applied at checkout. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively and missed promotions are not eligible for refunds, credits, or partial reimbursements.

1.3 Garments will not be collected or dispatched until payment has been successfully processed in full.

1.4 RNTL STUDIO requires the following customer information for all bookings:

    • Full Name
    • Residential Address
    • Phone Number
    • Email Address

1.5 RNTL STUDIO reserves the right to request additional identification or verification, including a valid driver’s license or proof of identity from the client or a parent/guardian.

1.6 RNTL STUDIO reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at its discretion, including but not limited to:

    • Failure to provide required information
    • Failure to complete payment
    • Suspected fraudulent activity
    • Garment damage or unforeseen circumstances affecting availability

1.7 Failure to collect a booked garment does not qualify for a refund or store credit.

1.8 Cancellation requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of the hire period.

1.9 Customers booking online must contact RNTL STUDIO prior to collection to arrange a suitable pickup time.

 

2. Hire Periods & Returns

2.1 Hire Durations

2.1.1 Standard 4-Day Hire

    • The standard hire period is 4 days unless otherwise arranged in writing.
    • For local pickup hires, customers will generally collect the garment the day before their event and return it within the allocated return timeframe.
    • Example:
      • Event on Saturday
      • Pickup Friday
      • Return Monday by 6:00pm

2.1.2 Extended 8-Day Hire

    • Selected garments may be available for an extended 8-day hire period, subject to availability and approval by RNTL STUDIO.
    • Extended hires must be confirmed and paid for prior to collection or dispatch.
    • Late returns outside of the approved hire period will incur late fees.

2.2 Return Requirements 

2.2.1 All garments must be returned by 6:00pm on the final day of the hire period unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the booking.

2.2.2 Garments returned late will incur late fees starting from $20 per day.

2.2.3 Continued failure to return a garment may result in:

    • Additional late fees
    • Charging of the full Recommended Retail Price (RRP)
    • Debt recovery action
    • Police report for stolen property if deemed necessary

2.3 Local Pickup Hires

2.3.1 Standard pickup hires are for a maximum of 3 days unless otherwise arranged. 

For Example, if your event date is on Saturday, you will pick the garment up on Friday, and your rental return is due by Monday at 6:00pm.

2.4 Postal Hires

2.4.1 Postal hires must be lodged via Australia Post Express Post on the next business day following the event.

2.4.2 Customers must:

    • Lodge the return parcel over the counter at Australia Post
    • Obtain proof of lodgement
    • Send a clear photo of the lodgement receipt to @rntl.studio via Instagram or email

2.4.3 Failure to provide proof of lodgement may result in the customer being held liable for late fees, missing parcels, or replacement costs.

2.5 Prohibited Return Methods

2.5.1 Garments must NOT be returned via:

    • Uber or rideshare delivery services
    • Public red or yellow Australia Post street boxes

2.5.2 Use of these methods may result in:

    • Late fees
    • Liability for loss or theft
    • Full replacement charges if the garment is lost or damaged

 

3. Garment Care & Damage

3.1.1 Customers must treat all garments with care and avoid exposure to:

    • Fake tan
    • Makeup
    • Perfume
    • Food and drink stains
    • Sharp objects or jewellery that may snag fabric

3.1.2 RNTL STUDIO garments are rental items and may display minor signs of wear consistent with normal use. Minor wear and tear does not qualify for refunds or credits.

3.2 Damage & Cleaning Fees

3.2.1 Customers are liable for:

    • Repair costs
    • Dry cleaning fees
    • Replacement costs where required
    • Compensation for cancelled future bookings resulting from damage

3.2.2 If a garment is deemed permanently damaged, heavily stained, altered, lost, or unsuitable for future hire, the customer will be charged the full RRP of the garment. This fee is separate from the hire fee already paid.

3.2.3 RNTL STUDIO retains sole discretion in determining whether a garment remains fit for hire.

3.3 Pre-Existing Damage

3.3.1 Any pre-existing issues with a garment must be reported within 3 hours of receiving the item.

3.3.2 Customers must provide clear photographic evidence.

3.3.3 Failure to notify RNTL STUDIO within this timeframe may result in the customer being held responsible for the damage.

3.4 Alterations

3.4.1 Customers must not alter, tailor, pin permanently, hem, dye, or modify garments in any way.

3.4.2 Unauthorised alterations will result in replacement charges.

 

5. Shipping Policy

5.1 Delivery

5.1.1 All postal hires are sent via Australia Post Express Post.

5.1.2 Shipping fees vary depending on garment size and weight.

5.1.3 Customers are responsible for ensuring shipping information is accurate at checkout.

5.1.4 RNTL STUDIO is not liable for parcels lost due to incorrect addresses supplied by the customer.

5.1.5 If Australia Post confirms a parcel as delivered, but the item is reported lost or stolen:

    • RNTL STUDIO will assist with investigations where possible
    • The customer may remain liable for replacement costs if recovery is unsuccessful

5.2 Postal Delays

5.2.1 RNTL STUDIO is not responsible for delays caused by Australia Post or other third-party postal services.

5.2.2 Customers acknowledge that delivery estimates are not guaranteed.

5.2.3 Refunds are not available where parcels are delayed due to postal carrier issues after dispatch.

5.2.4 Where a postal delay prevents use of the garment, customers may be eligible for store credit only if:

    • The garment is returned unworn within 24 hours of delivery
    • Proof of lodgement is provided
    • RNTL STUDIO is notified immediately

5.2.5 Shipping costs are non-refundable.

 

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

6.1 General Cancellations

6.1.1 Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the hire period are not eligible for refunds or store credit.

6.1.2 Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive store credit minus a 20% administration fee.

6.1.3 The administration fee covers:

    • Booking management
    • Garment preparation
    • Packaging materials
    • Cleaning preparation
    • Loss of potential bookings

6.2 Store Credit

6.2.1 All approved refunds are issued as store credit only.

6.2.2 Store credit:

    • Is valid for 12 months from issue date
    • Is non-transferable
    • Cannot be redeemed for cash
    • Must be used before expiry

6.3 Sizing Errors

6.3.1 Refunds are not available for sizing or fit issues.

6.3.2 Local pickup clients may request an exchange where available if RNTL STUDIO is notified within 3 hours of collection.

6.3.3 Postal hires are not eligible for size exchanges.

6.3.4 Postal customers may be eligible for partial store credit (excluding shipping and admin fees) where the garment is returned unworn and reported within 3 hours of delivery.

6.4 Minor Wear & Tear

6.4.1 Refunds or credits will not be issued for minor imperfections including but not limited to:

    • Loose threads
    • Minor fabric wear
    • Small marks
    • Minor discolouration
    • General signs of previous wear

 

7. Try-On Appointments 

7.1 Appointment Deposits

7.1.1 30-Minute Appointment

    • The 30-minute try-on appointment is ideal for clients wanting to explore a wider range of styles, fits, and sizing options.
    • Clients may try on up to 6 garments during the appointment.
    • A $20 deposit is required to secure the appointment booking.
    • The deposit is redeemable toward any hire booking made within 7 days of the appointment date.
    • Deposits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
    • Appointment times are strictly limited to 30 minutes to ensure all scheduled bookings can be accommodated.

7.1.2 15-Minute Appointment

    • The 15-minute try-on appointment is ideal for clients wanting to try a smaller selection of garments or confirm sizing for specific styles.
    • Clients may try on up to 3 garments during the appointment.
    • A $10 deposit is required to secure the appointment booking.
    • The deposit is redeemable toward any hire booking made within 7 days of the appointment date.
    • Deposits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
    • Appointment times are strictly limited to 15 minutes to ensure all scheduled bookings can be accommodated.

7.2 Appointment Cancellations

7.2.1 Minimum 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel a try-on appointment.

7.2.2 Cancellations made with sufficient notice will receive a 50% deposit refund.

7.2.3 Failure to provide notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

7.3 Try-On Conditions

7.3.1 Clients attending try-ons must:

    • Avoid wet fake tan
    • Avoid excessive makeup
    • Avoid strong perfume
    • Remove shoes while trying on garments

7.3.2 RNTL STUDIO reserves the right to charge for any damage caused during try-on appointments.

7.4 Garment Availability

7.4.1 Try-on appointments do not reserve garments.

7.4.2 Garments are only secured upon full payment.

7.4.3 Availability may change at any time.

7.4.4 Garment availability is updated weekly via our Instagram story and is subject to change at any time due to bookings, returns, damages, or unforeseen circumstances. 

 

8. Studio Conduct

8.1 Clients and guests must treat the studio, staff, family members, and pets with respect at all times.

8.2 Aggressive, abusive, inappropriate, or disrespectful behaviour may result in refusal of service and cancellation of bookings without refund.

 

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 All content created by or for RNTL STUDIO, including photographs, videos, branding, graphics, and social media content, remains the intellectual property of RNTL STUDIO.

9.2 Businesses or individuals using RNTL STUDIO content must provide clear credit to:

    • @rntl.studio
    • The original client or creator where applicable

9.3 Removal of watermarks or unauthorised use of content may result in copyright infringement reports or legal action.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 RNTL STUDIO is not responsible for:

    • Injuries sustained while wearing garments
    • Allergic reactions or skin sensitivities
    • Event cancellations
    • Third-party delivery delays
    • Circumstances outside of reasonable control

10.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, RNTL STUDIO’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant hire.

 

11. Australian Consumer Law

11.1 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.
